I initially wrote this back in August. However, I think it’s very fitting to share this again. I’m sure most people weren’t thinking about getting a discount on their winter heating bills at that time.

The subject of my post today concerns keeping you warm in the winter months through the Home Heating Program (HEAP).

If you haven’t already, it is time to do your paperwork in order to receive assistance with your home heating needs. The sooner you submit your application the better.

Most Cuyahoga County libraries have applications. I checked at my library. For more information on income guidelines and how the process works contact the Ohio Department of Development at 1-800-282-0880 or online at www.energyhelp.ohio.gov.
