Need Some Encouragement?

I’ll share some book news next week ~ particulars on how things are progressing.

We all need encouragement from time to time. And some of you may need an extra dose of kind words and a handful of ideas to help you right now. Here are a few powerful ideas that can help you stay positive and encouraged each day.

1.Make your own encouragement file. Anytime someone has great things to say about you or what you have done, write them down. You can also put in notes or cards that share good things about you. When you are feeling low or need a lift, pull out your encouragment file.

2. Speak positive words over your life.
This can help keep you in a good mood and encourage you even through the most difficult times. Why? Because more than anything else, you will believe what you tell yourself.

3. Be around people.
Each individual has ideas, interests different than your own, and passion and enthusiasm from their corner of the world which can bring to you a wealth of encouragement.

4. Keep your focus on the good things in your life. These will also bring you encouragement. Because the glass is half full ~ isn’t it?

5. Seek encouragement from God.
He has the power, the knowledge, and the ability to bring about your miracle. Research too has shown that those who regularly connect to a community of faith are healthier emotionally, mentally, and physically — they also live longer!

Whatever you are facing today, don’t give up! You may be closer than you think; the answer could show up later today or tomorrow!

Cleaning for a Reason ~

If you know any woman currently undergoing chemotherapy, please pass the word to her that there is a cleaning service that provides FREE housecleaning – once per month for four (4) months while she is in treatment.

All she has to do is:
1. Sign up
2. Have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment

Cleaning for a Reason will have a participating maid service in her zip code area arrange for the service. This organization serves the entire USA and currently has 547 partners to help these women. It’s our job to pass the word and let them know that there are people out there that care.

Decide What Kind of Day You’ll Have

Fresh Hope Cleveland is a book of RESOURCES. Today I’m sharing about ATTITUDE.

The holidays are behind us and winter can be a little gloomy. But it’s as simple as this: In the morning you can get up and be depressed or You Can Get Up and Be Happy!

You have a choice each day no matter what the circumstances are in your life. God knows your needs and He promises to meet them. Walk tall, put on a smile, and believe that your prayers have been answered ~ for what you need is coming your way right when you need it most.

My high school friend and college roommate shared this statement with me a while ago and now I’m passing it along to you. If you are in need today or in pain, focus on this great and important thought:
God is seldom early, but He’s never late!

It’s a new year with a fresh calendar ~ the old year is behind you.

Driving to a New Year’s Eve party I shared a wonderful example of hope and inspiration with the passenger in my car. You may have already heard this. The message goes like this: Why do you think the rearview mirror in your car is so much smaller than your windshield? It’s because what’s in the past is not nearly as important as what’s in front of you right now.

This is a new year. The past is gone and you will never be able to redo any of it. Instead, focus on what’s right in front you today. Today holds all the power and strength you need to accomplish everything that is important and worthwhile.

You only get one life; make it a good one!
