Relationship with God

Did you know “faith is not the belief that God will do what you want. It is the belief that God will do what is right?”

Did you know that “if God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it? If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning … Face it, friend. He’s crazy about you!” -Max Lucado, America’s pastor per Christianity Today magazine, author, and writer (b. 1955)

Good News for Your Life:

God really does love you and that’s why He’s calling you to come into a personal relationship with Him. You can buy as many things as you like, go on all sorts of vacations, make thousands and thousands of dollars each year, and drive fancy cars. Still, those things won’t satisfy you. The empty spaces in your life and heart can only be filled by a God who loves you and created you to have a relationship with Him.

Since God knew man’s condition, He devised a plan to bring us together again with Him. The plan involved God coming down to Earth as man. You probably have heard the story but perhaps didn’t realize how it all fit together for your good as well as all of mankind. Here’s the Good News: Christ died on the cross for your sins — those things that keep you separated from a Holy God — fear, worry, lying, cheating, pride, bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness to name a few.  But on the third day Christ rose again and His victory means when you trust Him with your entire life, you have the victory too in every area of your life. And most importantly, you have eternal life!

You can’t do life by yourself. You don’t have the power, resources, the knowledge to make it all happen. If you did, I believe you’d take care of this terrible economy — wouldn’t you? And where will you go at the end of this life? You have a choice today. Choose Jesus. He wants to make your life a masterpiece!

Prayer ~ to Know Christ as Your Savior and Lord:

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that I’ve done a lot of things wrong, and I ask Your forgiveness. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose from the dead. Today I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to start trusting and following You as my Lord and Savior. Thank you for my new life in Christ. Amen.
