Welcome back to this new series ~all about your health!

Today my post is dedicated to Angelina Jolie. She has been dealing with health issues in both courageous and positive ways. She has executed WISDOM in dealing with her own well-being. That’s how we ALL should respond.

As a 9-1/2 year breast cancer survivor I was especially interested today that actress and activist, Angelina Jolie, told the media she had a double mastectomy in February. She made this decision after learning she has an 87 percent chance of getting breast cancer and a 50 percent chance of getting ovarian cancer.

Her actions were more than brave — they were WISE! WISE because she’s thinking of the future, her family, and her overall well-being. She’s also WISE because she won’t have to suffer the difficulties of cancer including chemotherapy, radiation, hair loss, and possible loss of her life.

Angelina made these decisions not when she was faced with disease, but at a time when she is healthy and could think clearly about her options. No doctor came to her with news of cancer. Instead she made her decision in an effort to prevent getting cancer and possibly dying young like her mom did at 56 years of age.  Another WISE move!

Your health isn’t anything to fool with. If you notice anything unusual or just don’t feel right, see your doctor immediately.

Make it a great day!

God Bless You!
